Our tax dollars need to be focused on supporting our learners through investments that benefit the students and strengthen our district.  Making sure our tax dollars support classrooms and educational excellence is a top priority.    

After the difficult pandemic years, our students are hurting and some are struggling.  I support social and emotional support for all our students.  

The schools are often the first contact point for students who need extra help.  We as a district need to be ready with a listening ear and the help they deserve from Pre-K to High School our students mental and emotional well-being matters. 

A painful rift struck our community a few years back and we are still healing that divide.  I will work to bring our community together because I know we all want what is best for our most valuable asset: our youth.  No matter what our opinions are about past board decisions, I am positive we can work together to make sound decisions for the future of our district.

Quality educators like those we have in ISD 834 know the first component of a successful learning environment is authentic relationships with students.  Once established, authentic relationships naturally lead to higher student engagement which virtually ensures high learning outcomes. 

As parents and community members, we want nothing more than to see our students achieve.  I feel achievement can come from Academics, Arts, Athletics and Activities and that all these areas are essential to the well being of our students.  I will always advocate for top quality academics, robust arts and athletic programs and the maximum amount of activities we can support in Stillwater Schools.  

I fully support the replacement of Lake Elmo Elementary to better support the growing population in the south.  

I also support keeping the Amigos Unidos program within the Lake Elmo Elementary  boundaries.  Both initiatives are supported by the CDT (Community Design Team).
